About The Area
The village of Fearn is set in the picturesque countryside of Easter Ross with truly spectacular views across to Nigg and the Fearn Abbey. Although in the Highlands of Scotland, the immediate vicinity is surprisingly flat thereby making it ideal for cycling and more leisurely walks.
The hotel is ideally located as a base for exploring Easter Ross-Shire being only 3 miles off the main A9 and 4 miles from the Royal Burgh of Tain. There are numerous attractions in the area including the Anta and Tain Potteries, the Distilleries at Dalmore and Glenmorangie, as well as the many cycle tracks and walking trails in the area and on the Black Isle, which can be reached via a two car ferry which operates in the summer months from Nigg to Cromarty. Easter Ross is also within easy reach of the mountains and glens of the North West Highlands and the many golf courses in the area.
